Here I am again taking some pictures with my Spotmatic. Here are a few that I like from a roll of Fujifilm Superia 200 that I shot around Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
A few weeks ago I purchased an old Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SLR 35mm camera, it came with a few lenses for only $60. I’m not a photographer and had never really used a manual camera before, but I decided to give it a go. My first few rolls involved an expired roll of Kodak Gold 200 and a couple rolls of Kodak ultra-max 400. Both of which turned out nothing I was happy with.
A couple of weekends ago I got a chance to drive out to Eldon, PE for work. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the Point Prim lighthouse, and beach. I got a few shots that I like. I also stopped by at “The Garden of Hope” in New Glasgow, PE not too long ago. I was able to get some shots of various flowers, and a few landscapes by the river. I used Kodak Gold 200 on both of those dates.
I think I’m starting to get my head around exposure. I’m still having some struggles with getting the proper depth of field I’m looking for. My composition certainly needs a lot of work as well. However, here’s what I got so far:
Lemon meringue pudding is of course inferior to actual lemon meringue pie. However, when said pie is unavailable, the pudding variety can serve as an okay substitute. The lemon may be lacking, the meringue missing its airy fluff and the crust may not be present at all, but this little snack can satisfy the cravings of even the most discriminating lemon meringue pie lover. Dare I say that this tart cup be worthy of mention alongside the greatest pies, forged by the greatest pie-smiths of recorded history. No, I dare not.
